As a diabetic and a foodie, I have never been willing to compromise my health or my palate.

That's where the Dahlias Granola journey begins...

When my daughter Riley was two we started cooking together, and one day we made some granola. It was the best activity, and it tasted great too! She always wanted to make "nola", and so we made more. For the next two years we kept making it, eating it, giving it away, and making more. Before we knew it, we couldn't seem to make enough because everyone wanted some!

We use only all natural ingredients and have loaded it with vitamins, antioxidants, and healthy fats before sweetening it with honey and molasses. Dahlias Granola is great with fresh fruit and plain yogurt in the morning, with kefir as a crunchy mid-day snack, or sprinkled on ice cream as a treat! I just grab some by the handful throughout my day and feel good about how I keep my energy going.

My son Henry, with his boundless energy, loves the original with a little bit of everything in it, while Riley likes to focus on the nuts and enjoys hers without the dried fruit. Our friend Amy, who has nut allergies, is crazy about the pumpkin and flax, and some of my family members can't do much without chocolate...I couldn't leave them out, the banana chocolate walnut is ridiculous!

In addition to making delicious all natural granola, Dahlias Natural Foods will be donating a portion of every sale to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
